It sprayed stain superbly but oil based MinWax poly always "orange peeled". No matter how a lot I thinned it, the finish was awful. Finally I went onto Rockler's website online and located that folks beloved Generals poly plus oil. Thinned it 25% and it sprayed flawlessly! Turns out my frustration was once with the fabric, now not the HVLP. This unit it wonderful if you happen to use the right stuff in it.
